- The SEA (Ships' bunkers Easy Acquisition) Card® program facilitates the procurement of marine fuel for numerous US Government agencies at ports worldwide via contract and spot transactions.
- Is altivis™ the same as SEA Card®?
- While altivis™ and SEA Card® operate on the same platform, SEA Card® utilizes specific functionality for U.S. Government marine fuel procurement requirements. altivis™ is a suite of fuel procurement tools designed by commercial and government buyers with functionality that can be optimised to streamline the marine fuel procurement process.
- Is altivis™ just a credit card or purchasing card?
- No. altivis does provide transaction processing services similar to those made with a business to business purchasing card, including level 3 transaction details. However, altivis is a web-based system that requires no physical purchasing card. Additionally, altivis offers a broad range of value-added services, including compliance documentation management capabilities, credit lines and cash flow benefits for bunker buyers.
- Are there limitations to the types of fuel I can buy/supply on altivis?
- altivis suppliers may provide any type of commercial marine fuel, lubricants or chandlering services on the system. Buyers may also make note of special fuel requirements within altivis.
- Who is Multi Service Corporation?
- altivis is a division of Multi Service Corporation. Multi Service Corporation was founded in 1978 as a global transaction management company specializing in billing and payment solutions, such as credit cards, with particular expertise in the transportation industry. The company has since worked consistently with major oil suppliers in the trucking, aviation and marine industries. In 2004, Multi Service became the exclusive contractor of the US Government AIR and SEA Card® programs and continues to offer specialized payment solutions to land, air, sea and other commercial clientele.
